Visit of Representatives of the Humanitarian Mission “Prolyska”

At the initiative of the Chairman of the Sumy Regional Council, V. M. Fedorchenko, and with the direct participation of Deputy Chairman Mю V. Bania and a deputy of the Sumy Regional Council, Oleksandr V. Kuzhel, representatives of the Humanitarian Mission “Prolyska” visited the Sumy Regional Clinical Specialized Hospital (KNP SOB “Regional Clinical Specialized Hospital”). The Humanitarian Mission “Prolyska” operates with the support of UNHCR Ukraine – the United Nations Refugee Agency in Ukraine.

The organization’s representatives talked about the assistance they provide to the population, including social support for the most vulnerable groups affected by armed conflict, the evacuation of civilians from conflict zones, counseling on psychological, legal, and social issues, as well as the arrangement of places for compact residence and basic shelters, among other services.

They also emphasized that to address the hospital’s needs, applications for specific directions should be submitted, which will be reviewed in the near future.

Representatives of the Sumy Regional Council and the Humanitarian Mission “Prolyska” inspected the facility and assessed all the hospital’s needs, including the establishment of shelters and the purchase of washing machines to meet the patients’ needs.

Deputy Chairman of the Sumy Regional Council, Maryna V. Bania, mentioned that the Humanitarian Mission “Prolyska” plans to carry out significant work in Sumy Region to provide assistance to regional healthcare facilities and social institutions.

At the end of the meeting, the director of KNP SOB “Regional Clinical Specialized Hospital,” Tetiana Holovko, and the head of the Humanitarian Center in Sumy Region of the Humanitarian Mission “Prolyska,” Oleksandr Shevchenko, exchanged contact information and discussed the details of future cooperation.

Hospital representatives expressed their gratitude for the specific dialogue, attentiveness, professionalism, comprehensive and timely assistance provided by the Humanitarian Mission “Prolyska.” They wished the organization prosperity, professional achievements, inspiration, and boundless energy to pursue their noble goal of helping those in greatest need, especially during times of war.
